TUES, FEB 10th
(9 am - 6 pm): SPA HOP
Are you deserving of a little R&R? Need a beauty boost? Spend a day with girlfriends at Spa Hop presented by the Alliance of Downtown Glen Ellyn! Try a new service that is all the rage or take a chance on a salon that is new to you. Several talented salons & spas are excited to show off their talents and services. Choose appointments that run 20 or 30 minutes at a fraction of the cost of a typical appointment. Make it a day and squeeze in some local shopping and dining!

SPELLAPALOOZA
Come out of hibernation for some old fashioned fun to cheer on your favorite spellers (team BaM - the Bookstore and Marcels) at the 7th annual Spellapalooza. Doors open at 6:30 at Glenbard West High School with pre-show entertainment and refreshments. We guarantee this is the best nerdy fun you can have for $10. Did we mention that we are the reigning champions?

GARNIER-THIEBAUT TRUNK SHOW
Start dreaming about spring and explore the luxurious and vibrant new collections from Garnier-Thiebaut. Marcel's is proud to host a Garnier-Thiebaut Trunk Show on Saturday, February 28th from 11 am to 4 pm. You are invited to come by to see their vivid mix of beautiful designs.  Teri Hiben has been delighting us with her calm and generous spirit since the day we first opened our doors. Married for 30 years, Teri and her husband Brad have raised 3 sons; the youngest will graduate from college this spring! Cherished memories include their hiking, climbing and camping adventures from family vacations at National Parks. Teri is actively involved with her church, currently helping young moms transition to a sometimes challenging, yet wonderful stage in their lives. She also loves empowering college students and young adults by teaching cooking classes at church. A stack of books always greets Teri on her nightstand; her book group is a true highlight of each month. She loves being surrounded by family and friends enjoying a delicious meal at home.
Favorite Winter Activity: Baking bread & making jam
Best Comfort Foods: Long slow cooking - breads, stews, soups, braises...

Chef Paul Lindemuth
We all have our favorite restaurants. Yes, even chefs eat out! There is something wonderful about the experience of another chef's dishes; technique, flavor, and that "wow" factor that makes us want to recreate those special recipes at home. Join Chef Paul at this midday demo as he prepares some of the best dishes he has ever eaten.

Chef Lynn Dugan
Barely unpacked, Lynn is back from her trip to Buenos Aires armed with a culinary arsenal of new tips, techniques, and recipes all ready to share. Learning from some of the best on her gastronomic tour, Lynn will guide those that love good food, and love to cook, in preparing these classic dishes from South America in this demo-style class.
