Cropping and Resizing Images
NCR Customer Connect offers a user friendly tool to help you edit images to fit your email template.  A SAVE AS option has been added to provide users the ability to edit an image and save it with a new name without overwriting the original image.

Review the section below, labeled Saving Your Changes, to understand the difference between SAVE and SAVE AS.

Resizing
Select Resize to make the image smaller or larger. Place your mouse on the bottom right corner of the image until the diagonal resize arrow () appears, then click and drag the image up, down, right or left. The red box displays the area you should place your mouse.

If you prefer, use the dimension fields to resize the image, found on the left side of the Edit Image window.

Cropping
Select
Crop to use a portion of the image in your email. When selecting crop, a blue square appears in the upper left corner of the image.

When crop is selected, you can move and resize the crop box at any time.

To move the crop box: Place your mouse in the center of the blue square, then click and drag it to the area of the image you'd like to keep.

To increase or decrease the size of the square crop box: Place your mouse slightly inside the bottom right corner of the blue square until the diagonal resize arrow () appears, then click and drag the corner in or out.

To change the shape of the crop box: Place your mouse on the bottom line of the blue box, until the vertical resize arrow () appears, then click and drag the line up or down. You can also place the mouse on the right line of the blue box until the horizontal resize arrow () appears, then click and drag the line right or left.

If you prefer, use the dimension fields to crop the image, found on the left side of the Edit Image window.

Saving Your Changes
When
you're finished, select SAVE AS or SAVE.
  • Choosing SAVE AS allows you to save the new image with a new name.  This keeps the original image so it stays unchanged in any emails already using it.
  • Choosing SAVE will overwrite the original image you selected. A warning message appears reminding you all emails using this image will also change. If you would like to change the original image to the new image, select OK.
