 How is August already here? And yet, here we are winding down our lazy summer days and nights as we ready ourselves for the return to school, schedules, fall sports and actvities. But before all that begins, let's make sure we end our summer with a bang! There are still lots of exciting events and happenings around town this month, so be sure to mark your calendars for some end of summer fun!

Then, be sure to join us on Main St. at the end of the month for one more final music filled night with Sounds on the Street presented by the Alliance of Downtown Glen Ellyn. Bring your friends and neighbors out to these two annual events and soak up the last of our warm summer days and nights with fabulous music and food.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 30TH 7 - 10:30 PM
It's the 8th annual Sounds on the Street event Friday, August 30th, featuring the band Semple! Come out to Main St. for a FREE live concert (between Hillside and Duane) and stop into Marcel's for pre-packaged snacks and goodies, or Marché for one of our picnic boxes for 2 (advance notice requested) and a bottle of wine. It's a fun night of music and sound, and a fabulous way to end the summer in downtown Glen Ellyn. For more information, click here.

Join Marché at Cantigny’s annual French Connection Day celebration on Sunday, August 11th. Marché will be there with select fromage, charcuterie, and baguettes to enjoy as you stroll around the Eiffel Tower and open air market. There’s live music and Can-Can dancers, a beer and wine garden, family activities, crafts, Pétanque and more.
