Major Awards!

This past week we submitted samples of our Red Rooster Espresso to the 2016 Compak Golden Bean North America competition. It was an anxious wait, but the results are finally in and from a field of well over 600 samples we took a bronze medal in Milk Drinks and a silver in the Organic Espresso categories!

Of course we love this espresso...we serve it in both of our cafes...but it is a thrill to have it so well received by a group of our esteemed peers. If you haven't experienced our espresso, do yourself a favor and stop in to any of our cafés or regional café partners and try the Red Rooster Espresso as a shot or in a cappuccino. The coffee is more mellow and has less acidity than in its original form. The subtle decaf flavor is very complimentary, enhancing the earthy and nutty flavor. With aromas of caramel, peat, toast, and earthy black tea the flavor resembles dark caramel, walnut, and vanilla. This is a medium creamy bodied coffee with extremely mellow acidity and an earthy, vanilla bean finish.
