Horse racing is unpredictable. You never know who will cross that finish line first. Rich Strike reminded us of that when he overcame the odds and won the Kentucky Derby with 80-1 odds.
Like so many Dark Horses of the past Rich Strike was not even considered a contender, now he is a household name and enjoying his new found fame.
The sire of Rich Strike, Keen Ice, also went down in history when he upset Triple Crown winner, American Pharoah in the 2015 Travers Stakes at Saratoga Racecourse, "The Graveyard of Champions".
